Midtown Music Shop proudly offers private lessons in any and all musical instruments! The most popular include guitar, bass, piano, voice, violin, cello, ukulele, mandolin, saxophone, trumpet, flute, clarinet, trombone, and low brass, but we also offer instruction in accordion, banjo, pedal steel, harmonica and many more! Furthermore, we offer private lessons in composition, arranging, improvisation, music theory, and musicianship.

 

Our teachers include a staff of over a hundred of Memphis' finest professional players and educators. Each student is individually matched with their optimum sensai based on the individual's experience, interests, style, and dedication..

 

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS
*Half hour lessons:
4 lessons : $120
8 lessons : $200 (saves $40)
12 lessons: $285 (saves $85)
*Full hour lessons:
4 Lessons: $175 per month
8 Lessons: $325 paid in full at beginning of two month term (saves you $25)
12 Lessons: $445 paid in full at beginning of three month term (saves you $80)

 

INSTRUMENT DISCOUNTS FOR STUDENTS: Students will save on 10% on Midtown Music Shop's instruments and accessories! (some exclusions apply)

 

MISSED LESSONS: Students are expected to attend lessons on a continual basis on the same day at the same time each week unless other, special arrangements are made on the front end. If a student misses a lesson for any reason, payment is still required & will not be refunded. This policy is in place in order to reserve the student's slot in the instructor's schedule, and also helps ensure that our staff of teachers can count on their students showing up for their scheduled lessons.

 

RESCHEDULING MISSED LESSONS: Cancellation for any lesson MUST be made 24 hours in advance by PHONE ONLY. Contact Midtown Music Shop or your instructor to cancel. Any makeups must be made within two weeks of the canceled lesson. There will be no makeup lessons for no call, no shows.

 

LATE PAYMENT & BOUNCED CHECK FEES: The monthly tuition payment for private music instruction must be received on or before the second week of each month. If the student fails to meet that deadline, there may be a penalty of $20 for the late payment. If tuition check bounces, student will incur $40 overdraft fee plus $20 late fee.

 

HOLIDAYS AND VACATION: Time off from lessons for pre-scheduled vacations less than three weeks long will not require re-enrollment.

 

Lessons falling on the following holidays will have to be rescheduled:

• New Year's Eve & Day
• Good Friday
• Easter Day
• 4th of July
• Halloween
• Thanksgiving
• Day After Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve & Day
